The Historical impact
of the Black Community
in Gloucester

Black History Month 2007

Black History month has been celebrated across the UK every October for over 30 years, each year growing from strength to strength. Black History Month is a time when we highlight and celebrate the achievements of the Black communities and uncover hidden history about our communities.

This website is an oral and visual tribute highlighting people from the Black communities that have made history or had an historical impact on Gloucester. And will be a source of reference for schools and organisation to access and enhance their knowledge of Black people from the community that have helped to shape and build the future of Gloucester.
