“Ships Ahoy” for August! Gloucester’s award-winning Tall Ships Festival is back! The fantastic Tall Ships will sail into the city for the weekend of the August Bank Holiday, Friday 26th – Sunday 28th. This year’s festival builds on the success of the 2009 event where more than 75,000 vistors were in attendance.
The festival is undoubtedly Gloucester’s most popular event for all ages, combining stunning Tall Ships (naturally!), a flotilla of smaller boats and watercraft, live music and entertainment, arts, crafts and kids activities, exotic market stalls, funfair attractions, museums and great food and drink.
The event takes place in a wonderful waterside setting close to the heart of the city, in and around the fantastic Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet and historic docks.
