Saturday Soup, topical talk show

I have a very strong interest in the media and the news. Current affairs is extremely important to me and my career as a journalist, so the Saturday Soup show is ideal for me. I love all aspects of the media whether it be television, radio or online. And enjoy the broad spectrum of what there is out there. I wouldn't say I had any hobbies necessarily but I do liek taking an active part in all I do and giving 100%. Whether it's on GFM or my students union station.

I do love music, despite being a television girl. I guess when I was younger the first music I really remember loving was The Spice Girls (don't laugh). But looking back now I guess its clear to see the impact and affect they have had on young girls today, which I think is a very positive one.

In more recent years my musical taste have definitely changed, but its pretty diverse. I love R'n'B music, which is the sort of stuff that I find hard not to dance to on a night out. Also some of the older school hip hop, which to me is just timeless. I do also have a big weakness for the odd bit of Rock music, Nickelback being my favourite band. I guess you could say I like all kinds of music, but sorry to say not a fan of Drum and Bass.

Its been on my to do list for a while really. Studying Broadcast Journalism at University, I needed to get some work experience, and GFM seemed ideal.

Being a student I kept on forgetting to send in my demo, as originally I wanted to work on the news side, then Haze got in touch with me regarding co-presenting the Saturday Soup, which I jumped at.

Greatest achievement so far is climbing Mount Toubkal, in Morocco, which is the highest mountain in North Africa.

Attending a Euro-Scola event at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Producing three 30 minute news shows for a station in Stoke.

Co-Presenting and fitting in so well with the Saturday Soup Crew.

Another achievement will be graduating from Staffordshire University in June 2009, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

I don't really have any musical aspirations because its not really my field, but in terms of where I want to be in 5 years. Would love to be producing documentaries, something gritty. Maybe even some war reporting, would love to be a correspondant for a corporation, reporting from all over the world.

This is hard, whether these are influential or not they are definitely some of my favourites.

Change by the Sugababes

How You Remind Me by Nickelback

I'm No Good by Amy Winehouse

Keep on listening, because you guys are whats keeping the station going, and we would be nothing without you.

I heard Steve Irwin say this before and it has a lot of meaning to me "If you put 100% into everything you do, you're always going to be a winner." I expect because nothing in life is easy, and the things that are, just don't mean as much as the ones you have to fight for.
