A campaign to remind people of the reason we have Christmas celebrations starts today. More than 2,000 billboard posters will be reminding commuters that Christmas starts with Christ. There are also two audio clips, which will be played on radio stations.
The poster depicts a scan showing Jesus in the womb – with a halo. The message is: “He’s on his way – Christmas Starts with Christ” In today’s world, showing a scan is often used to announce the excitement of a new baby on the way! Also putting the message in a modern setting is the audio for the radio ‘”ADS”, one of which takes the form of an answer phone message from Joseph, the other an airport announcement!
These are produced by ChurchAds.Net, a charity (No1096868) .previously known as the Church Advertising Network (CAN) who have produced hard-hitting messages in the past. A similar campaign in Jamaica has given promising results, showing very positive recall of messages from those tested, who stated, ‘Christ/God is coming soon.’ There have also been requests for material from USA, Canada, Argentina, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Australia, Germany and Russia.
