Officers from the Gloucester City Safer Community Team (SCT) will be security-marking bicycles in Kingsholm on Saturday May 1.
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) Frankie McIntosh and Becki Kent will be joined by members of the Crime Prevention Panel at the family centre in Sherbourne Street, Kingsholm, between 10am and 1pm.
They will be on hand to mark resident’s bikes with their postcodes to make them less attractive to thieves and easier to return to their owner if recovered.
There will also be a limited number of free bike locks to give away to children when they get their bikes coded.
