Confusion caused by a word with more than one meaning meant the Gloucester Foodbank became inundated with cream ‘crackers’, when what the charity was hoping for were items to spread a littke Christmas Joy to the needy.
The Foodbank is a charity which distributes food to local people facing a crisis. A food package will provide one family three meals a day for three days. The charity are planning to hand out Christmas parcels alongside their normal food parcels to families with children this Christmas. The Christmas package will include mince pies, packets of stuffing, Christmas pudding and chocolates.
