An invitation to all members of the community
The Safer Gloucester Partnership will be hosting a Community Safety Panel meeting on Thursday 10th March at 7.00pm in The Civic Suite at Gloucester City Council Offices in the Docks. At the end of the meeting there will be an opportunity for a Question and Answer session with members of the partnership, which is made up of officers from the Police, the City and County Councils, the Probation Trust, the Primary Care Trust, the Police Authority and the Fire and Rescue Service.
There will be a presentation from police trainer Dave MacFarlane on Community Oriented Policing (COPs). The COPS scheme encourages police officers to use their professional judgment whilst including the victim’s views, to decide an appropriate response to an offence. There will also be a short DVD made by the National Star College students about Hate Crime – helping to identify some of the issues facing local people of all ages.
The Safer Gloucester Partnership members will give updates on how they work together to tackle crime and anti social behaviour within the city.
