A MAN’S body has been pulled from the canal near Gloucester Docks.
The shock discovery was made by a member of the public yesterday morning, and emergency services were to Monk Meadow Dock in Hempsted at around 8.55am.
Specialist teams from the ambulance and fire services used all-terrain vehicles to lift his body out of the water and up the steep banks, but the man was already dead.
Enquiries are now taking place to identify the man, who is believed to be in his 50s or 60s.
