Man Dies Following Collision in Cheltenham – Witness Appeal

A Cheltenham man has died following a collision in Prestbury Road in the town.

It happened at around 2am on Saturday October 30. 

A Vauxhall Vectra car left the road and collided with a tree, no other vehicles were involved.

The driver, a 32-year-old man from Cheltenham was pronounced dead at the scene.

One passenger, a 21 year-old man from Cheltenham, was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol with life-threatening injuries; he is in a critical but stable condition.

Another passenger, a 39-year-old man from Cheltenham, was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital for treatment.

The road was closed for seven hours whilst an investigation was carried out.
