As residents come forward with support and volunteer backing the community partnership covering Tuffley, Podsmead & Grange has arranged a meeting with council officials.
Councillor Antonia Noble, Gloucestershire County Council cabinet member for libraries has confirmed that contact has been made and a meeting set up early in the New Year.
Steve O’Connor, chairman of The Three Bridges Community Partnership will be asking questions concerning Tuffley Library’s future at a meeting on Thursday 06 January.
He will hold a meeting with residents so they can give their views on the service which he believes is vital for local residents and a link between the areas the Partnership represents.
Meanwhile the petition running in the area continues to gain signatures.
