Keith Soons Murder Investigation – Witnesses Come Forward

Police investigating the murder of Keith Soons want to thank the public for their help so far.

Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson is leading the enquiry, he said: “As a result of the CCTV footage being released yesterday the two men that we were trying to trace as potential witnesses have come forward.

“We are very grateful to people for their help so far in trying to establish what happened that night.

“The investigation is ongoing and we continue to appeal to anyone with knowledge about this incident or information that could help to contact us.

“We are still searching for the missing I Phone 4, silver ring and bank card.

“If you do know where these items are then tell us, you can always remain anonymous and call Crimestoppers.”

Three men have arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 28-year-old man from Cheltenham has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries until April.

A 26-year-old and a 27-year-old both from Cheltenham remain in police custody.

36-year-old Keith Soons from Gloucester was found by a member of the public in Wellington Lane at around 8am on the morning of Saturday February 5.

He had suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital but sadly died later that day.
