Keith Soons Murder Investigation Continues Over Weekend

Cheltenham Police continue to appeal to the community for information as their investigation into the murder of Keith Soons continues a week after his death.

Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson is leading the enquiry, he said: “We are still working hard on this investigation and will continue to do so throughout the weekend.

“Officers will be patrolling in the vicinity on the week anniversary of Keith’s death speaking to those that are in the area. We will also be continuing our house to house enquiries and are going through an enormous amount of CCTV.

“As well as thanking those people that have already contacted us about our investigation I would like to continue to appeal to anyone with knowledge about this incident or information that could help to contact us.”

Three men, aged 26, 27 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of murder earlier this week in connection to Keith’s death. They have been released on police bail until April, pending further enquiries.

Keith Soons, 36 from Gloucester, was found by a member of the public in Wellington Lane at around 8am on the morning of Saturday February 5.

He had suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital but sadly died later that day.
