The ‘GFM Street Team’ was out and about in Gloucester at the weekend spreading Christmas Spirit and helping shoppers gift-wrap their Christmas purchases. They will be there again this coming weekend with a pitch in Eastgate Street inviting people to come and get their presents wrapped for a donation to the GFM Survival 2010 campaign. They will also be selling GFM merchandise, (very good for presents and gift-wrapped on-the-spot!)
Take-Off
The survival campaign is really beginning to take off in earnest now as people begin to realize the contribution GloucesterFM Radio (GFM 96.6) makes to the local community. It is more than a radio station providing great entertainment to its ever-increasing family of loyal listeners, its ability to inform and empower all the community will be of paramount importance with the “Big Community Offer” increasing ‘hand-on’ involvement of people in local affairs. Opportunities to get involved or provide feedback to consultations together with other information are regularly announced on the airwaves or posted on the website.

Again gratitude goes to Sloanes for their consistent support over the months
Can YOU Help??
Support for the campaign has come in from all sections of the community. As well as the large and easily noticed events, e.g. the GFM OSCA Awards and a car wash, we have had young people in their schools or clubs running things like cake sales & sponsored penalty shoots, The Phoenix Centre ran a coffee morning. Support has also come from local pubs/clubs and from a group of local churches. All this makes a big difference and helps keep GFM 96.6 on-air. If you would like to do your bit for the GFM Survival Campaign please call 01452 525425 or e-mail admin@gloucesterfm.com Please make an effort to take part in future fundraising events so that GFM can realize its target.
