The Iqra show – IQRA is translated as “Read” in Arabic and the show aims to teach and educate. The Iqra radio show is aimed at creating awareness and understanding of Islam in Gloucestershire. The show is aimed to appeal to everyone regardless of race, creed, age or gender and it is our hope to dispel negative attitudes and stereotypes of Muslim in modern Britain. We want to win you over with our fabulous Nasheeds (Islamic Songs), talk shows, debates and Question and Answer shows in which you the listeners have a chance to question local Imams on islamic issues.

How did you get involved in GFM?
Decided to approach GFM with to propose something different on the radio! A show with an Islamic theme clear the misconceptions about Muslim and Islam in the Media aimed at the Muslim and Non Muslim Community of Gloucestershire
