Musical Background / History

I have an interest in all music of black origin, have a particular speciality I smooth Jazz, dating back to 2007. When I came across the music of wayman tisdale. Who was an amazing bass player, I was learning the bass at the time. And my passion grew from there. And I have been playing bass in local churches in the past.

How did you get involved in GFM?

In 2016, I did some fundraising for parkinson’s UK. And through the awareness of that I did an interview on GFM. I found I really enjoyed it. So I phoned the station on how I could get involved and I grew from that.

Achievements

I am currently part of the team on the community link show, I love this show as you get to meet and interview real local people and that is what GFM is all about. I have been mentored all the way at GFM and have had Training last year in Media and broadcasting, which was provided by GFM.

Musical aspirations:

I would want to be the best presenter I can be, hopefully even being able to mentor other people new to radio and broadcasting. And to see them grow. Also to be involved in fundraising for GFM. We rely so much on the generous gifts of the community so to be apart of that means a lot.

Most influential tracks

wayman tisdale- ain’t no lovin,

Nelson Rangell- a house is not a home.

Peter white- bright.
