Musical Background / History
I was a B boy (Break-dancer) in the early 80s which was a great time for the youth of Gloucester. From here I developed my taste for hip hop music and haven’t stopped since. From DJing to Diggin in the crates and also putting on the odd HIP HOP night here in the city, I still have a huge passion for this great music. I also have some good links within the UK scene as I did a bit of rapping in my younger days.
How did you get involved in GFM?
I got to know Ade Simpson who has been with GFM for along time with the Breaks n Beats show. He asked me if id like to guest on his spot. This seemed to go down well with the GFM audience on the night as we had some good feedback via email and text. After this I liked the idea of becoming a presenter and member of the GFM family so thanks to Ade and also Action Jackson for their advice.
Playing the style of music I love as a guest of the station with Ade was a great achievement for me. Also, promoting and playing at some good old school hip hop nights in the city.
The B LINE show can be a good platform to play great HIP HOP music from the past and present. More importantly bringing on local talent as well as national guests. I hope Dan and I can make the best of this opportunity here at GFM. 5 years from now
