Musical Background / History

I have been involved in music for over 30 years. I joined a Reggae sound system in my teens and we played out in venues around west London for a few years. I mainly MC’d but also was the selector, mixer, speaker box carrier etc, etc.

How did you get involved in GFM?

When I first moved to Gloucester in 2006 GFM made me feel at home as I used to listen to urban stations in London so it was like a home from home. I also made a radio show years ago which Shaun Moore engineered and when I heard him on this station and then heard an ad asking for DJ’s I thought to myself, ‘Why don’t I apply?” and then I did.

Achievements

I made a local radio show years ago and DJ’d on GFM ‘My Tunes’.
I have a 1st class degree in Art and Visual Culture and a 1st class Masters in Fine Art.
I have had three records released that I co-produced, wrote and performed the lyrics on.

Musical Aspirations

I would like to incorporate more musical projects in my art

Most influential tracks

My most listened to top three urban grooves on my iTunes on 1st July 2015 were:

This Head I Hold by Electric Guest. 2012

Busy Earnin’ by Jungle. 2014
What I Might Do (Radio Edit) by Ben Pearce. 2013
