Funding Boost for the Voluntary And Community Sector In Gloucestershire

Voluntary and community groups providing services in Gloucestershire are invited to apply to a new £500,000 grant fund – the Performance Reward Grant Fund – which opened to applications at the end of May 2011.  The fund will be used to invest in long term services that will produce improvements and benefits for the wider voluntary and community sector, not just individual organisations.
The minimum grant will be £10,000, and groups can apply individually or with other organisations as part of a consortium.  £150,000 of the fund will be for capital projects, such as buildings, IT equipment or vehicles.  £350,000 will be for revenue projects which could include running costs for a project such as salaries or training.
You can hear an interview with  Roisin Harte, Grants administrator, GAVCA on our Facebook Page “GFM 96.6 GLOUCESTER FM” by clicking the link on this website.
The Performance Reward Grant comes to Gloucestershire from central government, as a reward for successful partnership working in the county, through the Local Area Agreement. Find out more here: http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/laa.
