Police have arrested one man on suspicion of burglary and two men on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle following the burglary, which happened at 2.40am today at a snooker club in Southbrook Road.

A Nissan Cabstar van that is believed to have been used in connection with the burglary had been stolen from Goldsborough Close in Gloucester earlier in the morning.

It was spotted in Painswick Road at around 4am and pursued by officers. The occupants got out in Albany Street and were then chased on foot.

A 20-year-old man from Gloucester was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary. Two 20-year-old men from Gloucester were also arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle. All the men are currently being questioned at Gloucester Police Station.
