A banana farmer from the Caribbean will be coming to Gloucester later this month.
Philemon Allen, from St Vincent, will be at Gloucester City Council at the end of the month for a special reception. Gloucester City Fairtrade Group is holding a reception for Philemon, who is the chairman of the St Vincent Fairtrade Organisation, and is inviting the public and retailers to come and meet him and find out more about the challenges of being a Fairtrade producer.
It starts at 5.45pm on Monday, February 28 at the city’s council’s North Warehouse premises.
