Dramatic Action From Police In Response To ASB In Quedgeley

Officers from Gloucester South Safer Community Team (SCT) have been working with young drama students from Linda Virgoe Dance Studios to help them explore the effects of anti-social behaviour (ASB) on all sections of the community.

The youngsters will be presenting the results of their workshop in the production “asb 2day,” which will be showing at 7pm on Wednesday, June 23 at The Linda Virgoe Dance Studios in Quedgeley Enterprise Centre, Naas Lane.

PCSO Sylvia Lane said: “It is important youngsters understand the issues behind anti-social behaviour and the impact it has on other people in the community from residents to businesses, schools and the perpetrators of ASB themselves, so this type of work is important.

“Youth engagement is one of our policing priorities as it tackles anti-social behaviour in the long term and we will continue running these type of schemes with our partners alongside our targeted patrols.

“We hope such action will help increase people’s confidence in us that we are tackling the issues that are paramount to them.”

Local residents are urged to attend the event. Entry is free but donations will be welcome to Miss Virgoe’s chosen charity The Pied Piper Appeal.
