My main hobby is yo-yoing, I have been yo-yoing for 8 years now and am the current UK National Yo-Yo Champion of 2005 and also 2002 – I’m also ranked 18th in the world and hold 3 world records. I also enjoy martial arts - I do kickboxing and tae kwon do which I have been doing on and off since I was 15. And naturally I have a keen interest in radio and voice over work.

 

  
   
   
 

 

  
   
   
 

For many years I have been interested in becoming a voice over actor, and found out that many of my favourite voice overs such as Mel Blanc (the man of 1000 voices – including bugs bunny and daffy duck) had big careers in radio as well. It was this that started my interest into wanting to become involved in radio in the first place.

When I then discovered GFM, found out what they were about and also that they like to be involved in the community and that they were looking for volunteers I thought that this would be a great experience and really fun to do.

In the future I would love to present my own show and also hope to expand my musical knowledge and tastes. I can’t wait to get started!

Lolita – Dreaming of You : My favourite song from the Eurobeat genre of music. Its up beat, fast and fun to yo-yo to.

A Whole New World (from Aladdin) : A song I have loved since I was a kid, its been re-sang many times by many people (including Jordan and Peter Andre) and just reminds me of the fun times I had when I was a kid.

Michael Jackson – Billie Jean : The first Michael Jackson song I remember hearing. I became a huge fan when I saw a recording of this song he performed on Motown 25 – I have so many Michael Jackson favourites but this one probably tops the list.

 

  
   
   
 

If we all take part and work together – we can make both this radio station and the community a huge success. Now that GFM is broadcasting full time, I hope it becomes a permanent fixture on local people’s radios – and that everyone in the community gets involved to make Gloucester the best Gloucester it can be.
