Skiing, dancing, politics and current affairs, socialising with friends, drama, going to concerts and supporting Gloucester Rugby Club.
I like a wide variety of music; I have been brought up listening to Blues, Motown, Rock, Northern Soul and Reggae. My favourite bands of the moment are Coldplay, Keane and Embrace. Much to the embarrassment of my friends I also love Will Young and I recently went to see Whitesnake in concert at Colston Hall! I was recently spotted with my Walkman at school listening to Bob Dylan, much to the delight of my Politics teacher!
I volunteered in order to gain experience of broadcasting / reporting. I hope to use this valuable experience in my future career. I am currently studying for my A levels and hope to go to university in 2006 to study for a career in journalism. Any work experience that I can gather will be extremely useful to me.
I recently stood for the Gloucestershire youth parliament during which I had to organise and run my election campaign and give speeches to the school. I have completed my silver Duke of Edinburgh Award for which I worked for a year in the Cancer Research UK shop in Gloucester. It also required a great deal of team work when on expeditions. I have recently become employed as a Tourism Assistant in Gloucester’s Tourist Information Centre.
In five years time I would hope to have a first class honours degree and have a career in the media, preferably working for a broadsheet newspaper (the Guardian) on Fleet Street.

What makes a good radio station? Up to date music mixed with a few oldies, up to the minute local news, diverse discussion and a full agenda of what is going on within the city and surrounding area. To make all of this work you need a full team of researchers, broadcasters and admin staff. I would be happy to offer my services in any of the above roles.
