At the “The Gloscars” Award Ceremony yesterday afternoon at City Works, GloucesterFM Radio won an award for the “Best Community Based Activity”
The station also recieved a certificate for being a nominee in the category “Best At Involving Diverse Communities”
The annual event, put on by the Gloucester VCS Assembly and Compact, focuses on celebrating partnership working and recognising the contribution of the VCS to making change.
After interesting adresses highlighting the achievements of the Gloucestershire Compact & voluntary sector in the county, awards were given in various categories:-
1.Best at reducing climate change
2.Most innovative project
3.Best governance
4.Best partnership/collaboration
5.Thanks for representing the Voluntary and Community Sector
6.Best at involving diverse communities
7.Best at involving users
8.Best at encouraging volunteering
9.Best community based activity
10.For public sector only – “Thanks for supporting the Sector”
(The Gloucestershire VCS Assembly Team is a service of GAVCA. GAVCA is a local development and support organisation that works to strengthen voluntary and community action in Gloucestershire.
