Lorraine Shaw

Lorraine Shaw made history in 2002 when she won the Commonwealth Gold Medal for the Hammer Throw competition held Manchester, England.

Lorraine attended school in the City and joined Gloucester athletics' Club where she now coaches young up and coming Hammer Throwers.

Lorraine also works as a coach at the UK Athletics High Performance Centre at the University of Bath. In September 2006, she was appointed by UK Athletics as the UK Event Lead Coach for the hammer, with the responsibility of leading the delivery of UK squads and contributing towards the drive to raise standards in the event, regions and age groups.
