Advice on welfare and benefits will be provided at six GP surgeries in the city.
The advice sessions – which are for existing surgery patients only – will take place at:
• St Michaels Surgery, St Michaels Square, Gloucester – every Monday 2.00 – 4.30 pm
• Rowlands Pharmacy, Alvin Street, Kingsholm, Gloucester – every Wednesday 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
• Matson Lane Surgery, Matson Lane, Matson, Gloucester – every Tuesday 2.00 – 4.30 pm
• College Yard Surgery, Mount Street, Gloucester – every other Friday 2.30 – 4.30 pm
• Gloucester Health Access Centre, Eastgate House, Eastgate Street, Gloucester – every Friday 10.00 – 1.00 pm (this will cover Bartongate Surgery patients as well.)
National research has shown that providing welfare and benefits advice in the primary health care setting reaches many people who otherwise might not claim help.
