Barnwood Park and Arboretum in Gloucester is one of the best in the country – and that’s official! The Park and Arboretum has received the Green Flag Award, a sign to visitors that the park is well-maintained and well-managed, with excellent facilities.
Councillor Steve Morgan, cabinet member for the environment said: “It is fantastic that the hard work by residents and the friends group coming together with the support of the council’s neighbourhood management team has resulted in the park receiving this award. We know parks and open spaces are important to residents and this shows the council’s commitment to providing good quality open spaces for residents. This is a great example of Big Society in action.”
