To create awareness of the award winning variety of work & services at the Gloucester Tourism Information Centre there will be various activities this week. It will also acknowldege the excellence of the staff which has been highly recognised at a national level.
Wednesday
The centre will be a hive of activity from 11-00 onwards during Wednesday march 16th. Lyn Cinderey author of Paranormal Gloucester and city ghost walk tour guide will be there signing books from 11-00 and this will be followed by an open afternoon from 2-00 till 5-00pm. Local people as well as tourists are encouraged to attend and find out more about the work of the centre. City Council Leader, Paul James, commented: “ The centre isn’t just for tourists. It has much to offer residents as well. This series of events is typical of the variety of things that go on there.
Friday
On Friday March 18 (2.00pm)City MP Richard Graham will be joining the team to spend some time behind the counter – helping to deal with enquiries from visitors.
